Return to Real Hospitality & Fine Dining
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at The Crocker House this past opening weekend and having Easter dinner in their beautiful dining room. For those of us who stayed there with the previous owners, the transition has been seamless. The Noddin family has honored several superb dishes that Richard used to prepare, while adding several new Asian/Filipino entrees which Josh has expertly included from his own repertoire. There is also a nod to the Maine fishing culture, especially in the many appetizers offered in the dining room, as well as available as Bar Bytes. Every staff member was very welcoming and we sensed that this also speaks to the owners valuing them for the vital roles they play in running this operation. The major overhaul in the inn's interior design is a tribute to New Maine craftsmanship and New Maine, as they phrase it, and features custom wooden stools and beautifully-crafted, first-floor bedroom furniture by Geoff Warner of Stonington and Windsor chairs by the Windsor Chairmakers of Lincolnville. The nautical chart wallpaper in the dining room, as well as the Audubon-like paper in the inn's original porch dining area each add their own flavor. We greatly appreciated being able to bring our cocker spaniel with us, too. We thank each and every one of you for a memorable time.
